Big boy pancake pan

Big boy pancake pan

So big caveat, these are equally at home being called Big Girl or Big Person pancakes but I as have two boys calling them either in my house would result in me being castigated to the highest degree.

A lot of pancakes are cooked in my house, they smooth the start of any day and fill the boys up for at least a few minutes.

I always remember as a kid my Mum having a dedicated skillet pan for pancakes, however when I investigated this after having my first son, I discovered that it was a little on the small side.

Whilst I've got a lot of pans, they either produced too small a pancake or the sides too steep to get to the pancake and provide a good flipping action, which is a very important ritual during pancake making.

Enter the Stella 6000, a 30cm crepe pan. Not only made for such occasions but the name is ace too.  This is also a pretty versatile pan, as long as there is no sauce involved! A worthy addition to any cooking arsenal.

For consistent results, I always use this trusted recipe.
